If you’ve spent any time in the Australian music scene this year, you’ve undoubtedly heard the name “Playlunch” on more than one occasion. Since bursting onto the scene only 2 years ago, the enigmatic eight-piece have gained a reputation for their unique brand of Australian Bogan Funk bangers.

Dressed head to toe in traffic-mat tracksuits, and adorned in speed-dealer sunnies, and yellow zinc - the band’s midnight shows have become renowned for anthemic dance jams such as “Blue Light Disco” and “Foxtel Girl.”These shows are repeatedly packed with 00s babies dressed in No Hat No Play bucket hats, Kevin07 Handball tees and rumoured to include aths day style house chant competitions between divided sections of the bustling crowd. After supporting ‘The Soul Movers’ last year, OG Red Wiggle Murray Cook announced “this is my new favourite band.”

Since going viral on TikTok in 2023 with a live clip of their track “Soupe Opera” (a rap remix of the ABC classic) the boys have been trailblazing a path through the Aussie music scene with their self-produced debut album “Who’s Ready For A Good Time?”

This January, Playlunch are BACK in NSW for another round of shows due to outstanding demand on their Regional Tour. Fresh off of a Sold Out Tour run earlier in 2024, as well as BIGSOUND showcase appearances & massive support shows with Melbourne Ska Orchestra around the country. Celebrating the release of their latest single; "Station Rat", the band will be bringing their signature blend of funk and disco to the stage for all to enjoy.
